The tariff

One published rate, not a negotiation

The same price for everybody, on every lane we run. These figures come straight from the rates our calculator quotes from — there is no second, better price behind them.

What we charge

Rates are all-inclusive of customs clearance at destination. Import duty and taxes levied by the Ghana Revenue Authority are separate and payable by you.

Vehicle Shipping — quoted individually

A vehicle's condition, whether it runs and whether it can roll on and off a vessel move the price far more than its dimensions do. We would rather look at it and give you a figure that holds than publish a rate that moves later.

What that looks like in practice

Three real consignments, priced by the calculator just now.

A 25 kg carton of electronics from China

Dense cargo, so it bills on its actual weight rather than its size.

$275.00

Air Freight · 25.00 kg billed

Air Freight freight
$275.00

Arrives around 05 Nov 2026.

A 3 CBM consignment of furniture from China

Bulky and light — the case sea freight exists for.

$630.00

Sea Freight (LCL) · 3.00 CBM billed

Sea Freight (LCL) freight
$630.00

Arrives around 08 Jan 2027.

A single 0.4 CBM carton from Dubai

Below the minimum, so it bills at 1 CBM. Worth seeing before you book.

$210.00

Sea Freight (LCL) · 1.00 CBM billed

Sea Freight (LCL) freight
$210.00

Billed at the 1 CBM minimum rather than your 0.40 CBM, as small consignments still require a full booking, customs entry and handling at both ends.

Arrives around 18 Dec 2026.

Questions about price

How much does it cost?

Air freight is $11 per chargeable kilogram, and sea freight is $210 per cubic metre, from both China and Dubai to Ghana. Both rates include customs clearance. Vehicles are priced individually because condition and size vary too much for a fixed rate.

What is 'chargeable weight' for air freight?

The greater of the actual weight and the volumetric weight, where volumetric weight is length × width × height in centimetres divided by 6000. Aircraft run out of space before they run out of lift, so a large light consignment is charged for the room it occupies. If your goods are bulky, sea freight is usually far cheaper.

What is a CBM, and what if my shipment is less than one?

A CBM is a cubic metre — length × width × height in metres. Sea freight is billed at $210 per CBM with a one CBM minimum, then pro-rata above that. So 0.6 CBM is billed as 1 CBM, and 2.4 CBM is billed as 2.4. The minimum exists because even a small consignment needs a full booking, a customs entry and handling at both ends.

Which is cheaper, air or sea?

It depends entirely on your cargo. As a rough guide, sea wins on anything bulky or over about 20 kg, and air wins on small dense items where the waiting time matters. Enter your consignment in the calculator and you will see both prices side by side.

Is customs clearance included?

Clearance is included in the published rates. Import duty and taxes levied by the Ghana Revenue Authority are separate and payable by you — we tell you what is owed before the goods land, so there is no surprise at the port.

What can I not ship?

Cash, weapons, narcotics, counterfeit goods, live animals and anything prohibited under Ghanaian import law. Batteries, liquids, chemicals and aerosols are restricted and need to be declared before booking — some can travel by sea but not by air.
